MCKINLEY/CALIFORNICATION HOUSE

Designed and owned by renowned Southern California based architect,  David Randall Hertz FAIA Architect, The McKinley House was recently renovated and is now under new location friendly management.

The residence has been widely used as a location for many television, film, and still photography shoots. The house was also used as a primary location for the Showtime series Californication with David Duchovny, as well as major national television commercials and feature films.

The location friendly Architect/owner welcomes the addition and or update to your library for future consideration as a location.

Situated on a double 80’x90’ lot, the structures consist of a compound of four separate buildings connected with three glass bridges surrounding several courtyards with a lap pool in the center. This contemporary home emphasizes the ultimate California-style outdoor living with blurred boundaries between interior and exterior spaces.  The house was featured in the American Institute of Architecture Monograph Tour in 2014, and has been featured in numerous articles and productions.

Additionally, there is ample street and adjacent Marina and beach lot parking and is located in one of the most parking and location friendly neighborhoods in Venice, making this location suitable for small and large productions.

The Californication House was recently sold for $14.6 million.  Click HERE to read about the sale in the Los Angeles Times.
